Story
"Night Service for Spirits Only"
A boy chases a spirit onto the subway after hours when no humans are allowed in search of a magical world.
GuiCheng is a 2D fantasy short film. The story is loosely based on local Chinese folktales and design influenced by Chinese art and architecture.
The boy lives is a small, boring city where everything closes at night. It is said, when the subway closes, it is used by the spirits to return home. No humans are allowed on after hours. One night the boy follows a spirit into the station to see if the stories are true.
